On October 5, 2026, at the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), STAR.VISION hosted the Four-Satellite Joint Unveil Ceremony for the Oriental Smart Eye Constellation, unveiling four new satellites: the High-Compute Satellite Pair and the Oman Twins.

The High-Compute AI Satellite Pair: Space Embodied AI Becomes Reality
The next-generation high-compute satellites, Marco Polo and Ibn Battuta, will form the core infrastructure of a space computing center, marking STAR.VISION’s evolution from an intelligent Earth observation provider to a Space Embodied AI leader.
Marco Polo, the model-inference and intelligent-decision satellite, carries a state-of-the-art large language model and a proprietary A1 inference payload. Built on a fully native, system-level Agent Harness architecture, it delivers on-orbit performance comparable to ground-based models. As STAR.VISION puts it: “The model is the payload—and as of today, that is a reality.”
Ibn Battuta, the most powerful in-orbit compute satellite, features a 10 POPS high-performance computing platform that operates reliably in vacuum and radiation. It runs multiple models ranging from hundreds of billions to trillions of parameters simultaneously on orbit. These large models fuse optical, SAR, and multispectral data on orbit, enabling autonomous satellite control, intelligent task coordination, and on-orbit model training.
Two satellites, one system. Linked by 100+ Gbps optical inter-satellite links and coordinated by advanced models, they work in real time: the inference satellite decides, the compute satellite computes—enabling autonomous control, dynamic task sharing, and distributed on-orbit processing.
The Oman AI Satellites : A Sharper Eye of the Earth
The two new Oman satellites mark the next milestone in STAR.VISION’s partnership with Oman Lens. Operating in a 530 km sun-synchronous orbit, they carry high-resolution panchromatic and multispectral payloads jointly developed by both sides. These cutting-edge AI models enable autonomous satellite control, intelligent observation coordination, and on-orbit data fusion.

The collaboration dates back to November 2024, when STAR.VISION’s OL-1 became Oman’s first AI satellite. It has since logged more than 5,000 hours of operation, demonstrating the reliability of STAR.VISION’s AI satellite platform. Beyond sharper eyes, the new-generation twins deepen international scientific cooperation, advance space computing, and strengthen Oman’s end-to-end national space capabilities on the path to long-term technological autonomy.
Four Satellites at Once: How Far Has Space Computing Come?
The four satellites are a key part of the Oriental Smart Eye Constellation and add new momentum to the Three-Body Computing Constellation. Developed in close cooperation with Zhejiang Lab, they accelerate the creation of a global public good for space AI innovation.
The High-Compute AI Satellite pair make breakthroughs in space computing and laser interconnect technologies to build the core of an orbital data center; the Oman Twins deepen international cooperation and reshape Earth observation. STAR.VISION is turning satellites into intelligent agents in space—capable of autonomous observation, adaptive payloads, and real-time collaboration—delivering immediate, actionable insights to Earth and continually expanding the frontier of “AI + space.”
At IAC 2026,with the four AI satellites‘ unveiling, the space intelligence era has arrived—faster than expected.
