STAR.VISION participated in the inaugural Middle East Space Conference (MESC 2024) in Muscat, Oman, from January 8-10, showcasing its commitment to advancing spaceborne Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and innovation in the region.
MESC 2024, serving as a premier forum for the Middle East’s space industry, gathered leading aerospace companies to discuss space strategy, technology, and the establishment of a regional space ecosystem.
Dr. Kang Yashu, Chief AI Scientist at STAR.VISION, participated in a panel discussion revolved around "Developing Next-Gen Geospatial Solution In The Gulf Region" at this conference.
As the only representative from China in this session, Dr. Kang shared STAR.VISION's profound insights into how "Space Computing" is poised to lead industry transformation.
International attendees like Planet, ESRI, and AIRBUS joined the ranks of esteemed participants, underscoring MESC's role in catalyzing international collaboration and discourse in the realm of space exploration.
During the discussion, Dr. Kang engaged in insightful dialogues with Mohammed Issa, the Regional Manager of ESRI Middle East, and other industry visionaries, exploring strategic partnerships and innovations within the space sector.
Members of the Royal Family of the Sultanate of Oman and other important guests at MESC 2024 FollowingSTAR.VISION's presentation on the Space Algorithm Rideshare Program and their vision for Space Computing, Mr. Salem Al Qubaisi, Director of the UAE Space Agency, along with his team, conveyed their keen interest in the company's innovative initiatives.
Mr. Qubaisi emphasized the UAE Space Agency's ongoing efforts to technological empowerment of developing nations, particularly in Africa.
Mr. Qubaisi also said, he will actively mobilize partners in the Middle East to collaborate in the construction of the "Space Cloud" and explore the future together.
TheSTAR.VISION management team engaged in onsite discussions with Eng. Alhamedi Alanezi, CEO & President of Arabsat, exploring collaborative opportunities in the realms of GEO and LEO satellite technologies.
In addition,STAR.VISION held strategic discussions with Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri, Director of the Bahrain Space Agency, focusing on potential collaborative initiatives.
